| In order to continue and expand our projects in Alexandria we rely on public attention. Over the past year we have increased our efforts in presenting our projects in a more concrete manner and thereby gaining publicity.
Our new homepage
In July 2006 we established our homepage in order to provide regular updates on our organization and projects.
Preparation in Egypt
Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, the founder of Seama, was in Egypt several times conducting preparatory talks with various departments, interviewing potential members and managers for our polyclinic.
Cost estimate for basic clinic equipment
After extensively searching for the adequate equipment for our clinic we have been successful. A cost estimate is currently being calculated.
Petitions for donors
We are presenting our cost estimate with a list of all the necessary equipment to various donors in Switzerland.
Students for Seama
Students from Glattfelden take part in a week long project on Egypt during which they organize a market, a student concert, an oriental dance-show, a collection and an information booth. A substantial amount is collected to support Seama.
Benefit Evening
In November our benefit evening for Seama takes place. Earnings and donations for relief projects in Alexandria.
Founding Organization Al Amal in Alexandria
In December the members of the organization "Polyklinik Al Amal" convene for the first time for the founding-meeting. Statutes are established and seven members chosen as managing personnel. Confirmed by the social ministry in Alexandria, the clinic takes up its activities.
Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz will hand over the land his private property, to the newly foundet organization.
