Shortly after our clinic had been opened several women approached us, asking if we could be so kind as to establish a kindergarden for their youngest, since there was an empty room available.
Indeed a wonderful idea.
After a period of careful research we could provide the first and only kindergarden (both for boys and girls) in the neighbourhood.
This kindergarten enables the children to play and sing together as well as make their first exciting experiences with numbers and letters. The kindergarden is open from 09:00 until 13:00. The price is very affordable: only two Swiss Francs per month.
By December 2009 the kindergarden was attended by 20 children (three to six years) already. And this is only the beginning. Even more parents showed their interest in the new kindergarden.
Thanks to this simple institution an increasing number of women gain time to run their household better and – even more important –get the chance to contribute to their family income by realising a microcredit project.
