Rabbit-breeding is an easy way to make an income without any great effort.
As opposed to easy-care rabbits, owning and caring for sheep and goats can be rather demanding. They want to feed on the pasture or be fed. Their fur must be cared for and clipped, plus they need a fix shelter to protect them from bad weather.
On the other hand keeping sheep can have other financial advantages. Through processing the sheep-wool or goat-milk an income can be produced. And: The whole family can contribute something towards their livelihood.
This is why we have decided to help bigger families start up their independence as sheep- or goat-breeders by providing several young animals and then letting the families do the breading.
Encouraged by the success of the first breeding-family we are aiming to help other poverty-stricken people find their independence.
